Peanut Butter Cookies

I have not had Peanut Butter Cookies in a very long time so I decided to make some yesterday. It took me a few minutes to get a basic recipe that actually looked good off the internet. Couldn't really find one so I turned to my Fannie Farmer Cookbook. So here you go {Mom}. I took out the sugar and brown sugar and added Fructose & baking powder.

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 cup Sugar {sugar alternate 1 cup Fructose}
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup and bit more of Adams Smooth Peanut Butter
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/8 tsp or pinch of Salt
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease some cookie sheets. Mix shorting, vanilla, Fructose and cream together then add the egg and everything else. Make into balls and smash down with a fork making a waffle pattern. Put in the oven for about 8-10 mins.
